Default large computer gaming event?

just curious to the amount of people on here that would be interested in going to a LAN party of up to nearly 200 people bein nerds on their computers?

it will be run in geelong (VIC) next holidays. and no its not a hollow dream.

for those not sure exactly. it is basically where people bring along their own computers and set them up in a big hall and play games against each other and can win medals and random prizes jus for being there.

just curious to see the amount of computer gaming minded folk on here.

thanks
Holmsy

Are you involved with the organisation for the event? If so you should think about getting GameStah (http://www.gamestah.com) in for a bit of shoutcasting action

that gamestah looks to annoying for me. im hoping the keep the server setups easy this time to save things stuffing up.

for those interested go to MONSTERLAN.COM
and sign up. then when the event comes closer you will get an email about it.

you can have a look at some of the previous event info and wrap ups if you want to see what its like.

allways good to see new people and even better to see new people come in nice cars :nutsycuck

next one is 7th-8th of july for memory. weekend in the holidays.
comp games are voted on but usually are, css, bf2, unreal tourny 2004, company of heros, cod,
(we only do 3 or maby 4 comps if can b bothered)
and the rest of the time we just set up servers and let people play what they want. or organise big games of any random game.

If I brought my Mac in, I'd win. Everyone else would be crashing... etc etc..

I would have last year, or the year before, but I've gone off gaming a bit. I own at BF2 and CSS though. ;)

I recommend that a list of all supported games is posted.

MMOs are pointless really.

This pc is 6 years old and struggles to run EQII (and cannot run in certain areas such as Solusek's Eye and Sanctum of the Scaleborn) so I am not up to date with gaming really. Plus it's too expensive.

But LAN Parties are great. If you are unsure, go. Great fun.
