Default National Hockey League Merchandise

I was just wondering if anyone knew of any places here in Oz that have an extensive range of North American sporting merchandise, and in particular, the NHL and Detroit Red Wings gear? Ive been looking on the net but have been unable to find anything in Aus, and I don't really want to ship, so I was hoping you guys would know of someplace.

My old man is a Montreal fan from way back (he lived there for a few years). He has various hats, beanies, jumpers that he got from somewhere in Sydney, will ask him where and let you know.

I know of a few places out here. Most of the major rinks in Aus where the Australian Ice Hockey League plays have a skate shop attatched to the rink & stock this gear. In Queensland the Brisbane Bluetongues play out of Boondall Ice world?
Another option would be to check up on the hockeypulse forums specifically HERE........

I've got a 2001 season Calgary Flames Jersey at home that I never used - only bought it to hang up. I'd let it go if someone wanted to buy it?

Thanks for that guys. Il keep an eye on that link Wulos, thanks heaps, but it does seem limited to jerseys and standard merchandise. I was more after t-shirts, flags, banners, and items to decorate a games room.

You're gunna struggle to find more 'generalised' merchandise then jerseys. You should drop glen(the guy in that link I posted) an email & see what he has available - he may have other redwings stuff, or capable of getting it for you.

Ebay is the go.... ive managed to pick up a few cheap jerseys, plus a licensed, named/numbered lindros/philly jersey.

a bit hit an miss.... but the good stuff does come up. Redwings one of the more popular franchises, so should be a bit around.

But yeah... dont be suprised that its difficult to find here in Aus!!!

My sons used to play inline hockey and some ice and it was always cheaper even after shipping and GST duty to get from places in the US like:

Hockey Giant http://www.hockeygiant.com/ -N.B. cheap but sometimes sent the wrong stuff or wrong sizes.
Hockeyoutlet http://hockeyoutlet.com/main.php
Inline warehouse http://hockeyoutlet.com/main.php
UDS Skates http://www.usaskates.com/hockeyjerseysandsocks.html
Inline Sports http://www.inlinesports.com/contact.cfm N.B. Occasionally slow with deliveries
DiscounT hockey http://www.discounthockey.com/
hockey2.com http://www.hockey2.com/

However it been three years since they played and we shopped online for gear so it may be worth checking with some players at a local inline or ice club to see where the best Internet buys now are. Note each NHL team also has a site (eg http://www.detroitredwings.com/) where they sell merchandise and there are sometimes out of season bargains to be had.
