Default security code??

hey guys i just sold my old 6 stacker ford cd player on ebay and the person that brought it is having problems with the security code are they different codes for different vehicles cause the code that unlocked it in my car seems not to work for the buyer of the unit when they try it any help would be great?? apparintly it just keeps coming up with error and wont even let him enter the code do they need reseting or anything like that???

Yes, they need to be reset by a Ford dealer. Each ICC is coded to a specific car. When I had mine done it set me back about $60.00 - a ripoff but what choice did i have. It cannot be done by the owner as it requires hook up to a computer. I was also asked for the VIN from the car the ICC came from and a receipt of purchase.
