Default Queensland Auto Drivers Licence

Hi all,
I have a friend who recently did his driving test in an auto car. However, on the licence that they gave him, under 'class' it says 'C', whereas on my other friends auto licence it says 'CA' under 'class' (QLD licences). I figure that these two licences should be identical apart from the personal information, and I believe that all auto licences should have 'CA' under class. Do you think that my friend was given a manual licence, and do you believe that he could drive manuals on the road without legal issues? He is an experienced manual driver and would have done the test in a manual but the car he was going to use fell through at the last minute.

Cheers lads

If he was given a C class licence, I believe that in all states that there is no restrictions on transmission as that is the same as ACT. If anything it is their fault. On paper it says he is a C class so I can't see any legal issues arising from that.
