Default BT1 Wheels

Im still young and poor and I need a quick cheap fix to rid myself of those crappy hubbies. I love the raw look of the BT1 wheels (or 9c1 or police wheels) just until I save enough dough to Get some Spyders or Chiles...

In regards to wheel size are they 17's or 16's?

Can anyone advise me on the best place to look? Trading post? ebay?

Im on the Gold Coast but im willing to drive to bris vegas...

9c1's & Bt1 are Commodore codes's

But I know the wheels you mean, you could either spray your current black steelies silver or go pick up a pair at the wreckers.

The wreckers normally have stacks of these wheels of old taxi's or ute's, just make sure you don't get E series Falcon rims as they have a diffent offset. It should cost anymore than $ 15 bucks a rim.

So they are a 16" rim? I was kinda hoping to get somthing newish... or atleast in good condo. Ive seen some rims advertised on Ebay but have been to slow to bid. I see heaps of commodores around with these wheels but not many falcons... I have only seen one with fairly nice police wheels.

Yes they are a 16" rim. As mentioned, make sure they are from an AU or BA or they wont fit.

If i were you I would look for some AUII/III XR6 16's, they are a decent looking rim for their size and the money you pay for them.

BT1 was the code for police pack commodores in the early 90's they got stuff like FE2 suspension, ABS, Sump gaurds & better alternators.

9C1 is same thing just for newer commodores.

The shame of it, using Holden terms for a Ford?

Whats next, an LS1 motor? :P

Why not speak to your local Ford dealer about some Territory steelies? They're 17x7.5 and should fit an AU/BA without a problem.

Falcon police pack was Option 20 during E-Series, not sure if it's still the same.

Yeah, what an insult to the codes

BT-1 was used from VK (and possibly earlier) to VSII, while 9C1 is used from VT onwards.

As I have said before, owning any LS1 powered vehicle is like being with a cheap dominatrix - loads of 2nd rate leather everywhere, a hard slapping sound, and lots of hot oil where it shouldn't be.

At a price ... I doubt they'd be cheap though ... especially from Ford ... nothing's cheap from them.

I have a set ... but they are staying on the Territory though ... sorry about that.

lol no thats fine... A friend of a friend has worked at a ford dealer in the past and said that most falcons come to the dealer with chasers on them, and they are then fitted with the appropriate wheels....

He said he had a couple of sets but sold them through the trading post.
