Hi Guys.
I am currently compiling a model code list for Aussie Fords & am having difficulty finding model codes for Cortina, especially TC to TF. The codes that I'm referring to are the 5-digit codes stamped on the body ID plate. For example a 1968 240 2-door has the code 12814, while a 1969 GT has the code 12938 & so on. Most of this info is in Ford parts catalogues & other Ford literature, badly sadly usually not in workshop manuals. Does anyone on here have a list of these codes or have access to the relevant manuals ? Thanks in advance. Regards Dr Terry. |

Thanks again you guys are great.
There seems to be some anomalies in the TC model numbering. Ive recorded a few codes from later series TC Cortinas that don't appear on that list. When you look at them, there must be a series of missing models numbers in 1972 & 1973 but the above list has all TCs using a 1971 code. This doesn't happen with any other Cortina. Does the parts catalogue agree with the above list (Cortina 71-74) ? Dr Terry |

89 XF Commercial: 45671 Std ute, 45681 std van, 45674 GLS Ute. 90 XF Commercial upgrade: 45071 GL ute, 45081 GL Van, 45074 S ute. What else are you still missing? |
