Default F100 police paddy wagon models

Greetings everyone,

My most recent model project are these beautifully detailed precision scale replicas of the iconic F100 police paddy wagons. These vehicles were converted in the Government Motor Garage at Glebe, Sydney and from 1968 became the first standardized vehicle for the transport of criminals (before that time almost any vehicle was converted for the purpose).

The models are in 1:43 scale with only 264 units produced spread over 3 types, 1968 F100 N.S.W police paddy wagon, 1969 F100 QLD police 'Black Maria' and 1970 F100 N.S.W police paddy wagon.

N.S.W Police Registration No. "BJR-950" 1970 F100 Paddy Wagon

The sister vehicle to "BJR-950" was deployed to the Sydney Cricket Ground during the 1971 'Springbok Demonstrations' which saw the use of tear gas and gas bombs and resulted in over 100 arrests.

QLD Police Registration No. "PWY-100" 1969 F100 "Black Maria" was used to facilitate the arrests of protesters during the Civil Liberties marches in Brisbane during the 1971 'Springbok Demonstrations' held in N.S.W and QLD.

Drove some just like these, had seating for 8 prisoners in the back. Manged to stuff fourteen in once.

While the basic Ford Six was code named Barra, the Turbo version clearly deserved its very own moniker – again enter Gordon Barfield.
We asked him if the engine had actually been called “Seagull” and how that came about.
“Actually it was just call “Gull”, because I named it that. Because we knew it was going to poo on everything”.
