Default Cheap[est ways to transport cars interstate

hello

I am constantly looking out for cheap old cars, Being from Adelaide I often see cars interstate in NSW and Vic, does anybody have a cheap suggestions or "mates with trucks". Short of driving over there with a trailer which is probably a 4000km round trip and a whole week. I often see parts in Melbourne too which I need transported to Adelaide. Happy to pay well but hopefully cheaper than the transport sharks. Often these cars don't run also which truckies/trains don't like.

Any advice or experiences much appreciated thanks

Sprint.

Take a video camera and a mate - film the Australian version of Roadkill.

Thank me later.

I often use Freightmatch.com.au for stone, boat transport, post what you want shipped for what you want to pay.
I only use owner drivers as they take more care.

There's a guy who hauls caravans between Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brissy which the old truck movement use. Does a lot of backloads.
PM me, I've got his number.

From what I know, shipping usually always costs an arm and a leg. Your best bet would be fly over and drive back. If you have the time that is.

Hard to drive cars back that are bought often not running.

I think it would be best to find a bloke with a flat bed that does regular runs between where you are and where you want to buy then work it out from there.

Freight these days is a killer, for a non running car you would need a tilt-tray. and you would be paying them to drive back empty too.

Trade car transport will shift complete cars that aren't running fairly cheaply. Load move Australia on facebook is good for project cars in country places plus shifting parts also try some boat or caravan haulage companies they usually do good rates from wa, Darwin and far north queensland and can winch cars on to there trucks
