Default Carl Williams dead

Quote:
Melbourne gangland killer Carl Williams has reportedly been found dead in prison. Williams, 39, reportedly died after suffering head injuries before going into cardiac arrest at Barwon Prison, outside Geelong. An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said paramedics arrived at the prison just after 1pm and found a man in a critical condition. Police are yet to confirm the man is Williams. Williams was serving 35 years for the murders of four gangland rivals and conspiring to murder a fifth during Melbourne's underworld war. He was in the news headlines today after reports Victorian police had been paying for his daughter to attend a prestigious private school in Melbourne. Williams' mother Barbara was found dead in her Melbourne home in November 2008 after a battle with depression. More to follow...

Amazing...

This has so many implications...

I'll bet that Tony Mokbel arranged this...
Because it was Carl's testimony that was going to bury Mokbel... and it was Carl's leverage to reduce his sentance...

Incredible stuff... *(perfect time for Channel 9's Underbelly promotion)*

Have not confirmed it was Williams, so until it is confirmed then it isn't true. If it is true, it just goes to show, no matter where you are on the pecking order, someone or something will peck you out of the top eventually.

Until I personally read (or hear) from a reliable news source that its definitely him, I'll still have that little doubt in my mind.

Although from what I've read so far I'm 99% certain that it will be him.

Or maybe even Judy Moran?

Do they release his body to family, or just bury him inside prison grounds?

I wonder if the journalist who wrote the headlines about the cops paying for his daughters schooling this morning feel guilty about getting him killed for being a dog.
no love for the guy, but I'll bet people will think twice about being a rat for the cops now.

Amazed he had lasted this long....

Interestingly, someone once said they made a big mistake locking this guy up as he was doing a better job of removing the bad guys from the streets than the police where.....food for thought....

Awesome, here come the internet tough guys.

I don't care who he is/was, he has a kid and that kid deserves better than a bunch of unknowns on a bloody internet forum going on about things they know very very little about.

Maybe some should take a leaf out of Mick Gatto's book.

Agree 100%.
I thought Carl was given 35 years because he did not give anyone up.
Judy Moron would not have the money left to stage anything.
Pity Carl was not tough enough to defend himself, but its been a good show for several years

Now he meets his maker, as we all do when our time passes.

I hope his child is able to make something good of her life. Perhaps the death of her father will allow her to be left alone.

I know a bloke who was involved in that scene years ago. His comment is an appropriate one.

"If you don't get out of that scene, you'll end up either dead or in jail." He was amazed at how many people he used to knock around with ended up dead.

You certainly reap what you sow.

What some are prepared to say in an open forum is scary. This is real world stuff and how trivial it might be to some .... its not to many. I think we should just leave it there thanks .....
