Default A V C Help

Ok AVC is the automatic volume control in your sound system

Car LX 5 door 06 auto Fiesta

What i want to know is that by reading owners manual it tells you can set volume to 1???
But as i found out last night at a ford dealership they couldnt get to set on my car or 4 others they tryed to set.Was told by service dept last night they would ring Ford in Melbourne to get an answer/

Answer to this from ford Quote "you will just have tp put up with it"

For those of you that take the time to try this it goes some thing like this

Turn car on volume goes to 5
Press menu to get to AVC so i can set it to 1 do this confrim by pressing menu button
Turn car off remove keys
put keys back in turn car back on Volume is back at 5

Even if you turn radio off and on it will set back to 5

But when you read in owners manual it reads like you can set it to 1

Any answers or ideas on how to get this to wrk or set ????

Thanks Mudzy

P.S. its only thing i can pick with the car so far

At your age Mudzy,I thought you would have wanted the volume louder. just so you could hear it.

mkay... AVC is for when you accelerate and brake... the Radio auto adjusts to what your doing....if you accelerate it puts the musis up, if you braking it turns it down. the default setting for the music is on 5.. you cant change that.

Thats exactly how it in my fez.

Meh, Mine adjusts (WP Zetec).........
It was on like 4 or 5 when i got the car i turned it down to 2. i just followed the manual too.

If yours is going up as soon as you turn it on i would think that what ever sensors that it needs to go up or down isn't working right...

BTW it not sensored by braking or accelering as such, I think its either speed based or it actually decects cabin noise... mine dosen't turn down untill i've almost stopped i can brake then keep going at a low speed (say 20 - 25KPH) and it won't turn down, but say i'm pulling up to the lights it will turn down just as i'm about to stop.

I'll have a look at mine again and let you know what i did
