Default Just had an onroad "encounter" with the new commodore

Hmmmm left hand drive, front and rear hidden from view, tape over the side vents??....some driver with a holden coloured shirt on..

Was driving next to him for a while having a look, I accelerated and he did'nt so, I dropped back, and then he gunned it... and it took off like a rocket, pulled in behind him but he braked to say thats enough (scared the sh11t out of me)..... probably woould have left me for dead anyway

tell you what they do move...

note: was not a hoonish dangerous drag if you even want call it that.

Still can't see em doing a twin turbo V6 regardless of the fanfare.

I think they'll do a supercharged belt driven job running premium unleaded doing maybe 220kw.

Any news on the ford front on BF2 yet?

sorry been busy and have not responded... hehehe see my thread title has been edited ;) l0l thanks... sounds better "encounter" heheh

nah he just gunned it... for about 100 or so meters... not sure if it was auto or manual, but when it dropped down/kicked back, it just took off. to be honest was not expecting him too, was glad he did though.... it was funny as he was trying to ignore me, with his hand up to his head, in that "thinking" pose!! only when he squirted it did both hands come on to the wheel ;)

do you think he was test driving it, or just driving it home.. I know where he turned off! ;) this is @ like 7ish tonight

then he took it real easy..... he was behind me for like 10kms...

I saw One of the new statesmans just outside my street, Car bra'ed up, LED taillights, Twin exhausts. Front reminded me of a 7 series (What I could see).

I chased him and got pics on the mobile, the driver kept turning back to see what i was doing so then he dropped back lol. It looked pretty good on road. I won't post the pics cuz we've all seen em anyways..

yep... I was! my little xr6

Sorry still laughing about the thread being re-titled, to encounter, BUT not in a sexual way. I did not have a sexual encounter with this VE ;)

Just had another one pass me today on the Westgate. This one was a metallic reddish/orange SS. So I got more pics.

One thing I can say is that they look GOOD on the road, and the spoiler does not look too big in person...

Considering Holden are already making a turbo charged version of the HFV6 for Saab, I would say that either a turbo or twin turbo commodore is much more likely that a supercharged one.

i saw one today, i took a picture, but my phone moved and i only got a pic of the tyre and one side of the quad pipes. Funnily enough though they didnt any tips on them, just boring pipes out of the mufflers. Which you could see, must not have had the full rear bar on.

im looking forward to its release, from what i saw of the interior its really nice. It was LHD, and from the outline of the badge on the back (covered) i thought it was a ford, but the side mirrors still look VZ-esque
