Default New TVR to use Coyote

While its great TVR are coming back I was interested to see that Cosworth will be playnig with the Coyote...Ford racing already ahve some awesome bolt ones/manifolds etc but it will be interesting to see what Cossie do with it aswell.

The more the merrier!

A nice line here;

The Ford engine was chosen over other V8s because of its ‘bombproof’ reliability.

Ford just have to keep this philosophy with the rest of their components and there will be no reaosn that in time they cant be back at the top.

Thought they were really using the Aus developed Miami (our beloved mutated version Ford Aus spend millions on supercharging). The article seems to be about the Coyote, which is the original n/a crate motor from Ford Racing's catalogue..

I can't wait to see what Cosworth do with a Coyote. Weighing in at about 195kg with great reliability, it makes sense they would use it for a sports car.

I think that's awesome! I was always a fan of TVRs, even though they were far from perfect cars. It's been a long time between drinks, so hopefully with nearly a decade's hiatus TVR return with a bang! What a great endorsement for the Ford Coyote engine! I wonder if the Voodoo will get a look in at a later stage? One wonders what Cosworth would do with one of those at their disposal.

Certainly not Miami. Only Australian accountants are talented enough to get orphan engines into niche models (you can throw the 5.4 into that jab too).

Will be interesting to see if cosworth do anything different for the sake of being different. Ford racing have so many options and variations it's hard to see why they would bother.

As cobra mentioned. Pop a voodoo in their and job done, slap some TVR valve covers on and save some cash. Id rather see that engine stay exclusive to Ford though.
