Default Choice is now made. Brendon please tell me wat u think.

Going DEV3hl the full kit, minus the 2.5inch cat back exhuast allready got that.
3.45 LSD diff
3000rpm stall convertor
duel stage shift kit

My car is a standard AU2 Fairmont (Duel fuel) with a 2.5inch cat back exhuast, that is lowered.

the only other thing il be doing is 245 rubbers for traction....

how do u think this would go brendon and estimated cost, anyone elses opinion also please !

oh and if i do get bored will it be hard to put a supercharger on it after i do these mods.

cheers alex

I am very happy with mine. Don't know how it will all go with dual fuel though. the mixers kill the top end.

A 2500rpm stallie probably a better bet with a dev3hl cam too.

Also think of going 3.7 I went 3.23 to 3.45 and i probably should have been braver and gone 3.7. if I was a young hoon still not an old one like i am I would go 3.9 even.

yes but auto masters have managed to dig me up a bigger gas mixer and faster computer for gas

and as for 3.7diff gears thats prolly just going to break the budget :(
but if i got the money id prolly got 3.7 depends on wat it would do to Speed and Rev limiters. altho want speed limiter removedcoz 180 is silly.

It doesn't exist anymore. Give them a call if you need info.

Dont forget to look at all your options, plenty of OHC 4.0L tuning houses getting great results these days.

G&D are a sponser and an excellent tuning house for AU's.. I'll be going there for all my performance gear. Call Glenn.. well worth it. He LOVES the AU!

Old Mate

Like any workshop in the industry, if they have runs on the board and support its customers and our members, that's the best recommendation

I'd say thats an understatement. Dont believe me though.. ring Glenn. Mention AU's and wait for the fun to begin. He's got my vote.
As Gary said.. support and respect.. thats what wins customers.

Lets just hope they dont ИИИИ anyone around here off then!

AUFairmont - No doubt everyone will recommend one place or another. My advice is take everyone opinions into account, but then call and talk to each place. G&D sounds like they know what they are doing, JMM has a good record of getting results, or you can give it a go yourself with the help of wade/crow/surecam.

The setup you describe sounds ok, I personally wouldnt go the stall though. Im yet to see any good results out of stally's in mild 6's and from what I have heard the dev3hl makes power early anyway.

There is a lot more to it than your 1st line Stockstandard.

I am extremely dissapointed to see a liner like that, if thats the way you think the Admin team run the site then maybe its not the right forums for you.

umm, ok then...

Im not referring to the admin team in this case (or JMM, i have no idea what is going on there). I just noticed a number of threads where companies (including g&d) have been flamed on the forums for rather trivial reasons. Just saying that you never know the whole story, so take everything and make your own mind up.

I personally wouldnt go to JMM (and I haven’t made any secret of it in the past), but considering the number of JMM I6's running sub 14.5 vs the number produced by other manufacturers its worth your while to at least talking to them.
