Sound is a big draw card both at the track and on TV for me when viewing racing, so it doesn't really appeal to me at this point.

totally agree. nothing like the ear drum throbbing from the f1s. not sure if an electric buzz is going to create the same thing....

anyone know anything about performance compared to f1?

Don't like the noise after a quick look, couldn't imagine hearing 20 at once, one was bad enough. How many laps can they do, or do they just race til flat?

I watched the first race simulation they did .... narrow treaded tyres, I hope they have slicks, because they honestly weren't that impressive mid-corner.

I though the pitstops were a joke ... because the batteries go flat, they SWAP CARS halfway through the race. Given one of the biggest criticisms of battery-powered cars is battery longevity, to have a motorsport that shows this disadvantage so prominently, seems counter-productive to me.

So, rebooting this since the first event is on this weekend.

I'm interested to see it, but then I am used to electric race cars from FSAE.

But best of all I'll be getting on a train this afternoon to head up to Beijing, so I'll get to see them in person

I watched a doco and all the cars were the same so it came down to drivers. Also like everyone else has commented, no noise so it lacks atmosphere. Cannot wait till they get to the drags.....

They have a control for the battery's...so they can turn them up or down and run various strategies on that.

They had to use 2 cars per driver as the 1 car couldn't go the full distance.

The change over was fairly clumsy.

Massive accident on the last lap between the 2 front runners.
