probably bit of an ignorant question, but is there any advantages/disadvantages in installing a catch can on a daily driver, or even a project car that is rarely driven.
Given that neither is turbo, and the reading I've done suggests 'good for turbo cars'...thanks e-bay, any comments will be welcomed. |

Anything that catches a bit of blow by oil and stops it dirtying up plugs, and o2 sensor and blowing oil smoke out the exhaust sounds like a good thing to me, particularly on an engine that has seen some miles.

This link is pretty good for explaining why they're good for turbo and direct injection engines, but not so required for port injection NA engines. What mik says is relevant for benefits for NA engines, but for an everyday car I don't know if it's really worth it? Depends on the $$$ for the catch can I guess.

Any suggestions on a good catch can brand / style ?
I had one on my last engine ... Only a cheapie from supercheap auto, though I was surprised how much oil it caught .
