That is actually quite awesome. Very unexpected from Ford.

Well done Ford! Obviously proud of the achievements of their Ford supported team, and almost reminds me of the SBR days with the lion being gobbled up by a SBR Ford.
Awesome job!

Now they need to release a King Cobra 500kw GT to commemorate this achievement.

A Frosty edition GT would be cool. Fit the R spec suspension, launch control and wider rears.

Or just a Bathurst edition.

And no official acknowledgement inside of Ford. In Geoff Polities' day Frosty and Richo would have been presented to the Ford faithful both in Geelong and H/O. A man with vision who is sadly missed.

Just makes great sense, all round - creates a boutique, high output variant of one of the greatest looking Aussie-built cars ever made (FG) and sends a message to Henry, stateside.
We've been told the local show is winding up 2014, but I happen to be one of those NEVER EVER GIVE UP tragics, that hold on to slender hope till the bitter end.
FGs then FHs then we keep making rear-wheel drive cars forever, and kick 300C butts all the way back to ugly-ville........
(just thinking out loud)

All employees are getting a Ford Bathurst victory poster and Frosty and Richo will be on site when they are available, so hopefully I can get them to sign it.
