Default Big Hail stones - southside brisbane

Big hail storm here just hit us, did a fair bit of damage to 3 of our cars, luckily my XR6 was in the garage.

I am located Southside of Brisbane.

Too late to see any pics of the hail and i dont think i could actually get any of the dints to show up, but my BA II XLS work car needs a new bonnet i think! They are really DEEP dints.. ИИИИed off = me as my neighbour offered her garage to me earlier in the evening, should have taken her up on that offer!

Queensland must the home of hail storms.
Got caught in one two years ago when on hols. The XR6 copped two large dents and a broken windscreen. Car was just six months old then. All been fixed now though.
The hails stones were like tennis balls.

ShockWaveXR6na,

You might be able to get away with paintless dent removal without the need of a new bonnet. http://www.dentmasters.com.au/page/h...ge_repair.html. There might be something similar up in Queensland. Like you said all depends on how deep the dents are in the bonnet.

Cheers,

rxj.

Are they bad enough to write the Territory off? If so, count it as a blessing, and get a 6 Speed AWD, that Should have a better engine than your current Territory.

LOL thats wishful thinking, it scored about 4 Dints!

It copped a few on the roof, dunno if they can fix them!

We also have a new SR in the driveway which also got 4 BIG dints, its my grandmas and i had it her to get the 3000 kay service done today!

Bad day!

I am hoping that i can get the Dint Doctor to fix all three cars, expensive night tho!

There was no hail, but I was trapped in the Breakfast Creek Hotel during the storm. Nothing I could do but ride it out in the bar. Sucks to be me I guess...

Seriously, bad luck there SWXR6NA.

Yeah most Motor Comprehensive policies cover for hail damage but you have to work out if the damage bill exceeds your excess to make it worthwhile.

No hail on the South-East side of town, but of course we lost power apparently it was off from 8.00pm and I know it came back on 1.30am – Thank God for generators!

Bad Luck Brent – hope you get the cars sorted out quick smart!

Cheers, Tori

Well went to the dint shop today, the Ute is only going to cost me $300 to get fixed, the Territory will be an insurance job as its going to cost about $1500 as the roof will need to be repainted (cracked) where the dints hit. My grandmas SR has about 5 dints and will cost about $500 to fix as one is going to be really tricky they tell me. All in all a bit over $2000 worth of damage! :alien2:

At the beach now in my new appartment so i dont really care lol : just glad the XR was in the garage!
