Default HSV Turns Up the RICE!

Free kick to FPV me thinks......

http://www.caradvice.com.au/40637/hs...ange-released/

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I just think they look terrible and alot of the punters on the caradvice website agree.

Launch control on manuals is pretty good

also I'm personally a fan of the "audi" style front lights.

I think they look fantastic. Have always quietly preferred the exterior styling of the HSVs over the FPV offerings.

They will sell quite well I would expect.

Me too, they sure know how to make their special models stand out from the base ones.

FPV's market share should increase with this HSV!

WAY too much for me at the moment, i'll have to see them on the road to really tell. One thing that I don't like at all:

These wheels. They are horribly overdone (especially with the white) and the 3 spoke look is terrible.

Is it just me, or does the shape of the lower radiator opening appear to copy the way Ford are doing there's now?

the rear of the Clubsport R8 is revolting. Why you would want to spend too much money on something as ugly as this i don't know

and the HSVE2 is a shocker as well

I think they are now trying too hard to make them standout

BLUEYBA you hit the nail on the head. Trying too hard to make them stand out.
I thought the series one cars looked good, but these truly are awful albeit on the computer screen.
Performance cars dont have to look wild to look tough. AMG BMW and Audi have proved this.

Oh my god. Didnt think they could get any worse then the original E series, but they did. Ive seen that first lot of pictures, and thought they probably wouldnt look nearly that bad, but they look 100x worse!

AMG BMW Audi and others have proved a LOT of things the yokels at Ford and Holden have yet to consider.

How long before another "fog lights" versus "driving lights" debate, and people get pinged for driving with these LED's on? I've fitted them to mine, and Audi's look great with them, but its only a matter of time before someone gets the sh!ts up.

I think they look good but overdone, but what annoys me is that with every new model they bring out extra goodies, like launch control on manual, new wheels, new bodykit, new lights, new everything.
FPV doesnt have new tech, no new wheels!! FPV have got fantastic cars, and if they put in that extra stuff then they will be on par with HSV.

We don't need two threads to discuss the new HSVs.
