Default Ken Block on Top Gear UK

Ken Block took Captain Slow (James May) for a spin on Top Gear UK, shown yesterday.

Enjoy...

Wasn't his greatest effort, i'm guessing it had to do with the fact the car had 2 passengers or the new wrex chassis is crap.

He just doesn't get any less awesome that bloke. It's one thing to be able to drive like that, it's another to be able to sell it to the world..... your way.

Nice.

And that is why Top Gear UK is the absolute best in camera work, editing and production value.
What an awesome find. I'm so glad they got James to do it, he was more concerned about the planes. Facetube - golden.

Yep, TG the original, and by far still the best of any motor show globally.

Camera work is extroadinary, James is likable in an awkward kind of a way, and the stunts are breathtaking. And did I mention how good the cinematography was?

Thanks for sharing.

i have deduced that they used Ken Blocks film team, not the top gear team. The film techniques(angles, slow mo etc) are almost exactly the same as Ken Blocks gymkarnah(sp) videos although the editing is definately top gear style.

BTW does anyone know if he races world superbikes aswell? i could have sworn i saw him in a race i switched onto on the weekend - didnt stick around long enough to find out - he was in the Monster/DC sponsorship livery etc.

I was thinking about it, however we have other commitments that have come up. Plus the AU isn't in greatest health with a leaking steering rack, a slow puncture, broken CD player... the list goes on unfortunately. It will be for sale soon (again) as the wife has had enough of it !

Yeah, I've seen other Ken Block films and agree they are extremely similar with the slow rate and other angles, but I was talking about TGUK overall.
For example, did anyone else see last weeks episode when they had to pretend they were 17 year olds and buy and insure cars for less than 2500 pounds? It was hilarious especially when James monster stereo had the classical CD removed, hardcore techno CD put in and all the controls set to maximum, then superglued by Jeremy to prevent May from being able to turn it down. Honestly, I almost choked with laughter when I saw them trying to sneak home at 3am and Jeremy had the remote control to James' stereo.
