just moved to braidwood nsw and thought i might try my luck? any thoughts?

Heheh i've done it once when i was like 4 or 5 in Bathurst somewhere. i think i got a few lil bits - then dug up a whole bunch of fools gold lol

Beginner*
I only ever dug up gold out near Beechworth. I got a few flecks, then lost them. I was rather disappointed too. I could have bought a jelly bean with it.

In the hills south of Batemans Bay there some old gold mines up there.They abandoned them when they realised that it would cost more than the gold to get it out. You could do a day trip there and have a sticky. I saw them horseriding with some clients about 10 years ago...

I've had a go a couple of times with my brother at kalgoorlie/kambalda.
Im very average/beginner at it, but its good having a brother thats a geologist. Normally going through old tailings and going out after a good shower helps.

hey guys i found a small piece weighed 0.3g. any advice as to where to look? have herd to look around big rocks in the creek bed but not quite sure if this is true.

i went to hill en for a school excurstion was fun did some gold panning and found some gold very little amonts but how easy it was to get it was fun the person that showed us how to gold pan was giving us a demo and found a piece of gold about 15 mm long and 5 mm wide he was happy i think he got like $200 dollars for it

i was told to look at rock banks with sand were the river turns and leaves a bank of sandy rock and to dig deep not to scratch the surface as gold is heavyer and sinks more
