Well done Doug. That's the fastest time I've seen from a stock BF. How cool was the weather at the track?

Thanks 3, I don't know what the record is, but I am pretty close.

It was a beautiful 11c. Ya gotta love Melbourne weather.

Congrats Doug 13.6 for a bog stock bf turbo is a great starting point..

Cheers Mark, I might have the same engine and auto but 10.8 is a LONG way off for me, gives me something to aim for but.

I am very happy though, just wanted to see what she would run in the same setup that I drove out of the car yard. I spoke to another BF turbo owner who ran a 12.7 with just intake and generic tune. It is amazing how much these Turbo's respond to mods. I am looking forward to having a 12 second car soon.

So how does it feel to be driving a 10 second street car? Pretty awesome I imagine.

I made my 1st pass (when i say 1st pass i mean 1st pass), 16.395 @ 140kph. 2nd run still poor but alot better was 15.773 @ 146kph, both runs with traction control on... forgot. 3rd run... traction off was 16.1 but masses of wheel spin. Im going to sort out a few mods and then have another go. I also was running 20psi in my rears, perhaps a bit too low

Hey Dan, that was an excellent first time racing mate. You seemed like you were having fun, so are you hooked?

20 psi was fine, perhaps some better rubber might help next time or perhaps a small burnout?

We will go up to Heathcote and have a go there, it's SO much better to race there.

Had a good time tonight!

Well done Doug, and SIKBRO and Jelecevic, and anyone else who had more balls than I did and actually raced.

I'm keen to race next month if anybody is interested in going again though!

Thanks Stav, what you need matches for? don't turn to drugs mate :P

Thanks Jas, my NA record will fall and it will about bloody time when it does, I have no regrets at all.

Thanks Leon, did you get my recent PM?

Was a great night guys, and Doug your car is a dead set weapon. Was really looking forward to driving mine but driving Jelecevics XR6 was alot of fun. My mate popped his drag racing cherry with his XT (Shockwave BA custom plates "RELAX") Ran 15.85 with a 2.73 60ft, just couldnt control the wheelpsin. Should run a low 15 with a clean launch.

Cant wait for a Heathcote meet, especially seeing as Calder will be closed for the majority of Winter.

Thanks George, I am a happy man.

At least you got to have a race, even if it wasn't in your car. Hopefully you can have your car fixed in time for the Heathcote meet? Any idea how long it will take to be back on the road?
