Default Falcon GT 40th Anniversary availability??

Has anyone investigated the availability of these beasts?

Are they ready for delivery? Sold out? Only 200 being made?

I thought they may have all been 'snapped' up by now.

Has anyone got a quote yet? I wonder if they're budging off the RRP.

As far as I know pretty much all gone - at least here in WA

No movement on RRP because they dont have to - they are selling at RRP.

They are all sold. 185 in Australia and 15 for New Zealand. One dealer in Adelaide was offered $5K over full price for one he was holding for another customer. There will be heaps of black GT's on the road soon.

If your chasing one Southern Cross Automotive Group Toowoomba / Warwick / St George hadn't sold their allocation of last week, they actually hadn't sold one.

Most of the Metro Dealers are done (those that actually got stock), but I couldnt say they are all sold yet.

As for pricing theres no room on them, thats the first reason why i wouldnt buy one, they really arent that special other then the striping package.

I'll pass that on to a mate of mine who tried through an Adelaide dealer to get one from interstate, only to be told there are none available. Maybe they were being lazy and didn't want to go through the effort. :

I was told by our local dealer that they haven't been made yet.
The only one made so far is the promo one seen at the motor show.

Bugger! So far I have never seen another GT on the road with my colour combo....black with gold stripes. Soon they'll be as common as mud, and with much bigger gold stripes too!!! :

Just because another dealer has them, doesn't necessarily make them available. If I was a dealer who had these cars for sale at full retail and nothing else, I wouldn't be swapping them to other dealers unless they were going to make it very worth my while.

So that is to say, the dealer you spoke to may have spoken to a dealer who has an unsold one and they most likely told them to jam it unless you can give us something of equal importance back (for instance: something that is very hard to get allocated to your dealership.)

Correct, these cars are not available for Dealer Transfer for the sheer fact that most dealers sold their allocation within the first fortnight and they all want to make 7 grand out of them. As for telling you whos got them they arent going to do that either, they would rather try and jam you with a standard GT or GTP that they have in stock.

I know where i bought my Super Pursuit had a guy from Mackay ring them and put a CC deposit on one without even pricing it or his trade in, sadly they had sold all their allocation but my salesmen had a mate in Toowoomba who works for Sothern Cross Automotive who had 3 available? They may have none now but its just a matter of ringing every dealer in the country to see if they have any allocation left.

Personally I wouldnt bother, the only mechanical difference can be optioned on a GT / GTP now neways so why not just buy a GT and save 5 grand.

I agree totally. Spend the few grand extra and get the GTP with 6 pots, Awesome Seats, parking sensors etc etc or save the 5 k and get a GT which is mechanically identical.

Thanks All for the feedback. Much appreciated!

I was originally looking at a GT but I thought the re-sale might be a bit better over time. Is it worth the extra outlay? Time will tell I guess.

Being a limited run, it could end up being worth a little bit more, but look what happened to the EB and EL GTs.

How much more is it? If its only a few $k then yeah I would get one. But only for the reason you stated above.
