definatley stuffed.... drivers side???

very common thing to go on the early e-series. usually the cable snaps and the glass falls down..

but it aint hard to fix a few hours and its done. drill the pop rivets out and use bolts and lock nuts instead when u put the new one in. getting a decent replacement can be the hard part tho. might be easier to remove the speaker so u have room to get your hand behind there to do up the bolts

but u might need someone to hold the glass when lining up the bolts on the bracket which is on the window glass, and to hold it when u undo it so it doesnt fall and shatter on you

It takes about 1 hour, and a little bit of patience.
