holy shit how good is WA doing? I knew they were killing it but they are leaving the other states for dead!

Puts a different perspective on it when you can see the figures.

A surplus is easy. I do not know about the other states but:

Don't spend any money on health, after all the problem is transient, sick people just die. Doctors, nurses and hospitals are not THAT important...

Don't spend money on water infrastructure. It only really affects others.

Don't spend money on road infrastructure outside Brisbane. Once you get to the end of the northern freeway you really DO need a RTV.

Don't spend any money on electricity infrastructure, take all the money from the supply authorities and use it for a surplus.

Do spend money on more speed cameras and mobile radars that make a profit but not on general duties police.

Do spend money on sports stadiums, arts festivals and other social "events" to keep the LHS minorities happy.

Do licence even more poker machines and casinos. We have 4 "legal" ones (GC/Bris/Tvl/Cns) already with 3 more on the books (sunny coast, hervey bay, airlie/mookay).

But hey, we elected them, so it is ALL OUR FAULT......

The Feds and the States and territories are running on the resource boom..... That is why WA is doing so good. Take away the resource income and what is left??? All our eggs are in a single basket.

I doubt very much a change of government would speed things up.
Do you work for Bracks? Blame Kennet for the bad things, take credit for the good things Kennet did. Look into everything else and do nothing.

Well, I have no faith in this state. It would seem people have voted for nothing. The ALP ran a smear campain and won. Good to see everyone around the Scorsby freeway made their votes be heard. Another 4 years of mirror people. Another 4 years of revenue raising.

Lilberals, give Ted 1 year to get higher in polls. If not, bugger him off. You screwed yourself over keeping Doyle around, don't do it again. And get rid of the image that Labor is in it for the battlers and the Libs are in it for the fat cats.

It's quite scary the reasons most people vote for who they vote for. I can't believe people would vote for someone without doing any research.

Anyone know how the Greens faired in the upper house? I heard 2 seats with maybe a third. As long as the ALP get a majority there I'm happy. I'd rather the ALP telling me how to live my life than the Greens.

anyhow, the election has been run and won.. I'm bored with this now, its heading towards the inevitable.
4 more years for Bracks. Those that didn't vote for him.. we lost. Those that did, you won, hope it works out for us all. Those that didn't vote or wasted the vote.. no complaints will be accepted from you one way or the other.
