It actually has some pretty descent specs and a price thats well in range of competition models..

Something about owning one just doesn't appeal to me though.

It will be on my list of cars to look at when I look at getting a new car late next year. They are not that big. Length is 4.7m and the width is 2.1

Compare that to a territory Length 4.8m and width 1.9m or 2.2 if you include mirrors.

nah they look ok but i read its a five cylinda? as if you would get such a beefy looking thing and then you tell people it only has 5 cylindas...it has no power. a terry turbo would cost less or the same amount and it has a decent engine and would smash that under powered hummer...180kw vs 245 kw? what a joke

And your point? The H3 will be in the same category as the Pathfinder, D3, prado ect. It was not designed as a performace SUV. There is a V8 H3 coming out in the USA late next year.

my point is that it will chew alot of fuel, it will sound girly coming from a beasty looking thing , a stock terri would leave it for dead. let alone a terri turbo which is in the same price range as these monsters. and at the end of the day a real hummer has a v8

I could afford to buy one, but if you are really wanting to go off road, here are the best options in factory condition:


1. Troopy turbo diesel
2. Defender
3. Patrol turbo diesel
4. Land cruiser turbo diesel
and at about 13. Hummer.

They are not really meant to go off road. They are just another status symbol. Alice Springs has a way of separting the men from the boys in 4 wheelers. The above list is based on experience.

military spec hummers will go almost anywhere, but they are too wide. But if you have cannons and bombs on board I guess it doesn't matter.... :

Land cruisers are nowhere as good as they were once. IMO the last good cruisers were the 80 series, with the exception of some live front end 100 series. But keep the land cruiser troopy out of that statement, they are the last good toyota off roader. I have seen these trucks go all sorts of places with ease.

I'd get one but not for offroading. Dump it on some big chromes and cruise the town for chicks to throw in the back! I bet you could still drive over some cars in it if you wanted to :
