Default Overheating

for the past few weeks my ea has been overheating like a sonofa bitch when i drive it around for more than 30mins or so. At forst i thought the head gasket was rooted...but now im not so sure because the coolant level hasnt dropped and from just a visual observation it all seems A1, when it overheats the needle goes right up to the N on the gauge, but i experience no loss of power and it seems to cool right back down to normal levels in about 15 mins....any ideas?

Could be thermostat definately. Next time its hot, feel and see if the top of the radiator is hot and the bottom is cold. If so, id suggest your radiator is blocked.

I had this problem a while back, had the radiator cleaned out and now shes bananas. I also got the thermostat replaced.
