I've had two MILs and loss of turbo, P2263. The car runs as a 'gutless wonder' so avoid freeeeeways. (where did that saying come from?, age?))
Interval between MIL events is maybe 1000km. I'm guessing The problem is going to be either the turbo vanes stuck or the vacuum modulator. I'm going for the modulator, which I plan to renew. I bet someone else ends up here eventually. Possible warning sign is a buzzing after switch off, which disappears for a while and then returns. Applies to: MC tdci 2011, 135000km. Apocalypse vehicles: no turbo? |

Bummer. Its not a boost leak somewhere is it?
Seems pretty uncommon to have a turbo failure these days, especially at those k's. Not like the old days like my Cordia Turbo. Anyway good luck with it. I hope its nothing too serious.

Thanks, I'll check for leaks. Frustrating because intermittent, two months since last episode. Ordered new boost control valve today. Being on gain off again I'm thinking stuck vacuum valve, or electrical issue. Running fine atm but don't like the unpredictability. The silly thing is I'm going to have to wait maybe a month or so to see if it's fixed. Avoiding the freeway meantime.
