If it is gibberish crap, don't respond. I respond to text messages if they require a response.

I can't understand all this crap about continuous texting.
And besides, I think it's rude.
Just get on the phone, talk to them, get it over and done with!

I had a month where I had a $1500 phone bill from mainly SMS. Was sort of a messed up long-distance relationship from hell type thing where we'd send upwards of 100 messages a day to each other.

These days I hardly SMS much unless I'm organising something, in which case it usually gets easier to call, or just having a short conversation if need be. Although, when I'm drunk the fingers seem to go to work.......

if you need/are looking for a response then call up and talk.

i only use txt for one way conversation such as passing on info like a phone number etc.

i must be old or something but i think text messages are a pain in the butt.

im running two phones on 3 atm ... one on the $69 cap(for Personal use) and one on the $149 cap(for work) and i come within about $1-$2 a month on both phones so thats about 2200messages from my personal phone a month (2050 last month) because i dont call with that one and i probably send about 3000messages sharing the work phone with my dad and include calls it tops up the cap!

This is why I leave my phone in the car when at work. I see it as a distraction to what I'm meant to be doing.

If I have to reply I will, otherwise you get ignored.

The arguement goes something like this:
"I refuse to prove that I exist," says God, "for proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing."

"But," say Man, "the Babel fish is a dead giveaway, isn't it? It could not have evolved by chance. It proves you exist, and so therefore, by your own arguments, you don't. QED."

"Oh dear," says God, "I hadn't though of that" and promply vanishes in a puff of logic.

In the whole year I have owned my current phone, I have sent 983 messages and received 1602 messages...

That said I've spent a total of 36 hours actually talking to people on my mobile...

I don't like phones... :P
