Yes and no. It will say usb hub not supported while it will still work on Android Auto Apple Car Play will not work. Your better off with a new media hub for Sync 3

He means the USB port doesn't work with CarPlay.

I know that Apple Carplay works over Bluetooth. But I don't know if Sync 3 specifically supports this functionality.
