Default Fuel additives....do they work?

Does anyone think fuel additives actually work?

I would like to hear (read) peoples thoughts on additives like 'Fuel injector & Carby Cleaner' that you add to a tank of fuel when you fill up.

Do you think they work?

keep in mind fuel already has some additives in it for whatever reason, like for anti corrosion for example.

i dunno if anything has been proven yet as to whether 3rd party additives work or not or are good or bad for your car.

i have used some on crap cars i've had, wyns octane boost and injector cleaner I never noticed a difference one way or another.

If an injector is gummed up, has been for years, I doubt they will do anything. As a preventative used from new every so many months, it MIGHT be beneficial to slow the gumming process.

Carby cleaner is good for washing parts though for rebuilding etc.
