Angry Fuel Prices

I think all the ppl that whinge about fuel prices living south
should suck it up, we pay (starting from) 1.49 up to 1.51c a ltr
for regular unleaded up here...
And through the red centre, from 2 bucks + a ltr!!!

Just sayin... Makes me cranky seein it be made such a big deal of on
ACA, and the NT didn't even get a mention!! haha

Cool Re: Fuel Prices

Hi Bunyip
Picture it 1969
Bridge autos 50 cents a gallon
I know cause I worked there
thats my memory of fuel in the sixties
and the last lot I bought in the seventies
was at the "24hour" Shell
across from the RAAF base/aiport
28 cents a litre 1979
now in Brisbane it hovers around $1.50 a litre
thanks for the memories
John

I just paid $50/litre for Jim Beam...seems to only last the same amount of time as a tank of juice in my car too. Jim Beam = fun...fun = no worries....no worries = don't care about price of fuel. Gotta get to work so I can buy more Jim Beam...it's a vicious cycle really...but it's fun

Fuel over the next couple weeks is expected to come down by around 2c p/l. Now I don't know if that is Australia wide or just on the GC, but either way I'm golden.

I heard on the radio today in Melbourne, that we should have all filled up today as petrol is set to rise over the Xmas period by 14cents!! How can they justify such a massive jump? Overtime for drivers??

JB was $42.99 a litre last week, this week, $52.99!!
Petrol,$1.49 - $1.51 in Adelaide at the peak of the cycle. According to fuel anlysts, the cycles are taking longer to turn around where previously it was 7 days.
Though having said that, Monday it was $1.32, Tuesday it was up to $1.49.
Next best day to buy fuel is December 27th where it should be $1.31 again
Wont make it that long before I need to fill up again - might join 74_XB_Ute in a litre of Jim Beam and spend less time using fuel

How about printer ink? You get a few mL in a $60 cartridge, and then it dries up before you can use it all anyway :P

Fuel is $1.359/L here at my local petrol station, its great, it stays the same price for weeks on end where it seems all the others go up and down massive amounts depending on the time of the day, if the sun is out, if its a full moon, if the stars aren't aligned, etc.

Diesel is a bit expensive at $1.489/L though, who cares it only costs me $35 a week to do 550km .
