Just read an update. Apparently he fell 10ft down some stairs (not off a ladder) as first reported and has under gone surgery to release pressure from a head injury. He also has some broken ribs and a bruised chest.

Here's hoping he makes a speedy and full recovery!

This is saddening, especially being so close to Christmas. I hope the poor guy pulls through, it would be tragic if he died.

Please show a little respect. The man is fighting for his life.

Having had broken ribs and a punctured lung I can understand why he is critical.

I hope he gets well soon as he has done more for Australia than most of our political leaders and public servants put together.
