things are getting out of control aye - seriously starting to think about a shift to a safer location - we right on pacific "ring of fire" fault line and coastal town - of which has a very similar topography as the recently hit Christchurch much of which is built on reclaimed land also

reports of buildings down in japan now as well....

I've been nervously joking of that for some weeks. My friends just south west of Tokyo are at Crufts Dog Show in the UK and away from their home and Kennels. They will have no idea what has happened at home to their family and dogs (which are their full time careers). Just terrible. I have their new puppy still here with Russell and I, and was waiting to leave for Tokyo. Thank goodness he is still here safe.

My home town Christchurch upset me but this has me so shocked!

Just been watching some of the news, and can't believe what the poor people are going through.
Have never been in an earthquake or a tsunami, and hope I never do.

I'll just apologise for the "Joke" that i posted...

should've used the "Think before you post" rule.. This one time, and i didn't..

umm.. all of this damage right across the globe is horrific, we had Queensland, Australia first, then Victoria, Australia then Christchurch, New Zealand, and now Japan/Tokyo.. and they expect tsunamsi to hit half the world..

Lets just hope that everyone comes out of these alive... Its just sad after 1, let alone nearly 4 incidents in 4 months

Was watching a bit on this before, apparently...

The earthquake that hit Japan was the 6th biggest earthquake ever recorded (worldwide) and the biggest one to ever hit Japan.

Earthquake was 1,000 times stronger than the one that hit Christchurch recently.

They expect the Tsunami to hit Hawaii in approx 4hours.

Amazing and tragic stuff if true.

Mother nature telling us who's boss after we (humans) have caused so much chaos on Earth.

I think we'll see a whole lot more change in the coming years, so just have to adapt.

So... we've caused some chaos , and many of us here don't think we have....(reference other posts, on gas, green house warming, carbon tax, etc). We need to accept that a tsunami is a natural event and there really is not a great deal that we can do about it ,but we are monumentally stuffing the planet, and we don't get it!!
Do believe that this is actually an act of (whoever yours is), God.....,but good speed to any one who is in the line of this act.

Strange how after the earthquake in Japan, Hawaii has recorded 14 Quakes ranging from 2 to 3.5 on the richter. I believe a chain reaction of events is unfolding before our eyes.
