Default kc laser 1.6

fitting another distrubtor, crank pulley to tdc #1 cyl at top of stroke

does rotor point to # 1 lead on the dizzy cap !!!! , as it seems to prefer

not to any help please. :

yes the rotor should point to the number one spark plug lead

you may only be out one tooth of the dissy cog
fit the dissy so the rotor is pointing to the number one plug lead

Dont forget that number 1 will be at the top twice for each cycle. My guess is you are 180 degrees out. To get it right either whack your thumb over number 1 plug hole and flick the key to feel compression then line up your crank marks, or take the rocker cover off and check if number 1 inlet and exhaust rockers have clearance. If you are 180 degrees out, number 4 rockers will have clearance.

IIRC the dissy will only fit onto the cam in one position anyway (offset drive 'plate') so you cannot put it in wrong. Whack it in and see if it starts.
