So at the moment the going thing is to drive around the bush and find chryslers in barns, to find a Charger is a bonus.
Anyway this guy found one and purchased it, here are the before and after shots of the engine bay - Before when it was found  After when it was cleaned up - engine bay not repainted

Added bonus is that the plenum chambers aren't completely rusted out
[ can't see if it has a chassic repair sleeve .. ] |

nice nice nice...
nothing a little elbow grease can't fix!!!!! took me about 14 hours to get my engine bay done, that would have probably taken... 30??? (just on the bay not including engine and accessories) |

just out of curiosity, how do these finds take place?
do you sneak a peak through the shed window and ask the owner? or just say whats hiding in the shed?

I spent 7 years working as an agronomist (production consultant to farmers) and the cars I saw were unreal. Some came home with me, like a very clean XP ute with a rebuilt 170 for $100. Also found an immaculate charger with low miles and 1 owner, guy wanted $3600 (orig purchase price) and I just couldn't scrape it up at the time. One of my biggest regrets, should have sold a kidney! Still know of a heap more cars I hope to acquire one day but just can't get lucky enough to find a coupe!!

I found my CL Pano in Tennant Creek!! Drove down from Darwin after a whisper from a mate (who was the owners Neighbour) and struck up a deal.

Get a job as a real estate agent; people need to get rid of excess cars particularly non-moving ones when they move home (and sometimes they are in a hurry).
Often widowers move home after hubby passes away and his old hobby car has to go. Similarly family are sellinh house when the owners pass away and want all the junk including those old cars gone. I have a friend who was a real estate agent for a few years and was picking up another free car every other month including once one working charger in near perfect condition. He would of course always show interest in any cars not looking like they were being used while he was out providing a market appraisel or whatever and was often offered cars for nix or at very low prices.

Yeah im an Estate Agent myself, its amazing what I find out the back of big acreage properties or sheds. I have been offered a few in the past and am looking like picking up an old Monaro shortly

In Launceston theres 2 Old Chargers that sit outside of a place, some old guy about 65 years old owns them, ones brown, ones white, They are immaculate and rarely get used, and of course he wont sell them under any circamstances!

Sometimes it just takes patience. I used to drive along the same road to my girlfirends house in NW NSW twice a week and I used to see this EH wagon sitting in a shed. After a few months, I approached the old farmer and as soon as I got to within 10 metres of his house, he bolted onto the verandah and told me to P#$$ off. After that I got his neighbour to try and he got the same response. About three years later, my girlfriend's father told me that the old bugger had died. I went to the farmhouse one day after noticing a different car in the driveway. Turns out it was dead man's daughter. I asked her about the car and she replied "Thank God, I was wondering how we were going to get rid of that". I asked her how much and she said that his only outstanding bill was his account at the local store. If I paid that it was mine. The bill was $47.20. I ended up with a 64 EH wagon with 67000 miles on the clock. I was going to restore it but didn't have time and sold it untouched for $3500 in 2002.
