Default "Bring it on" daylight saving......

Every year you hear the pro's and con's of daylight saving,.........

"My curtains fade"
"The cows wont milk"
"I cant get to sleep"

You've all heard it before , some of the old y's up here are into arguments already, Personally, i love it, all the things i normally have to do on the weekend can be spread out during the week , leaving me a free 2 days off to do what i (she) wants.

Heard any funny things people have said about it, and what do most here think.. :

as im in qld i hate daylight savings as
1) stuffs up my timewhen travelling
2)stuffs up times on pay TV book when watching a show
3)makes me tired trying to readjust to the xtra hour..(when i was in nsw)

Bring it on ....

All of you are soooo lucky us backward Wait Awhile state dont get daylight savings as it confuses the cows when they need to be milked. It would be so fantastic if we did.

I dont care if curtains fade at least I would have time to enjoy the balmy evenings driving along the foreshore for longer than what I do :eclipsee_ :

I hate it, it being sunny at 8pm is just unatural. Not to mention I have that weird feeling that it really isnt 4pm, its only 3pm etc all through summer.

I agree, I love daylight saving... having those extra hours in the evening to do things like have a bbq or go for a walk or catch the last rays at the beach.

When I was in Perth visiting my sister last year it was bloody awful - the sun was up at 4am! By 9pm each night I was so very tired because I'd been up so early. It stops you being a party animal... :yeees: :Up_to_som _

Love daylight savings, dgaf about curtains, they're not mine. :P
Get to go to for drives to the beach at 8pm and shops are still open, fishing is better (Snapper season) and S.A.D. improves immensely.

Hate it, only cause any dealings we have down south, we need to have done by 4pm.

I wish we had it, that way, people who live on the border of NSW/QLD can only celebrate New Year's once. :P

Ours was in the middle of the school hols, so my body clock was already out of whack, meaning it's got no real effect on me aside from the joy of light lasting longer into the evening.

i love daylight saving

the sun doesnt wake you up as early in the morning, and you get more time for BBQ's and backyard cricket

whats not to love about that!!

Doesn't worry me. It only really works in the southern states though because of the longer twilight here. The sun's down to quick up north so you gain nothing.

Yeah about the only problem is I constantly run late for work because of the extra daylight at night time and waking up (theoretically) earlier.
