Dick Johnson is selling his own GTF on car sales. Anyone got a spare $150K?

That is an awesome bit of driving, pity about the end though. It seems when ever he did the shootout at Bathurst it was all or nothing, he always pushed the car to the absolute limit.
This one of him wrestling the Sierra around the mountain in 1992 would have to be one of the best though, absolutely wrings it's neck-

Good on him, hopefully he gets good coin for it.................also noticed there seems to be plenty of other GTFs for sale atm going stale waiting for prospective whale buyers.

Yeah, the ad also talks about modifying the GTF further like they did the NSW highway patrol car.

That was an awesome drive until that last corner fopar(almost brings a tear to the eye watching it),
dick was on the ragged edge, can only imagine what his lap time would have been, and the old clevo at the red line ........ frigging grouse !.

I guess in the stable of cars he's got there this GT-F is what he 'values'the least. Doesn't say much for the car.

I'd certainly say the other ones with race pedigree steeped all over them would be more desirable to a collector, which is his target audience in the advert.
A car that he's never registered, or even driven doesn't really mean much. I think the GTF him and John tore up NT in would stand to appreciate more based on whose 'used' it.

From what I could find Dick wasn't bankrupt, he was, in his words"broke". They are two very different things. One is when you have run out of money, and one is when you owe money you can't pay.

That said Jr Johnson did go bankrupt.

They might but I wouldn’t think that of him, he’s no different to the rest of us.

It doesn’t matter if it was gratis, if it’s an unwanted gift or he wants to make a bit of money or he’s desperate for a cash injection we’d all do the same thing.

Even better if it cost nothing to start with, more cash in the pocket.

And to price it at $150k is just testing the market like everyone else.

And those who gifted it too him would most likely be just as happy to know its helped him in a time of need.

He's not the first racer to sell his cars and won't be the last.

It’s not like you could ever accuse him of being anti-ford just because he’s selling a car we’d all love to have in our garage.

Good luck to him and I hope better times come his way.

A quick check shows the numberplate doesnt come up with the SA rego check.

Its a scammer... Still no GTF under $100k
