Default Driverless cars on Perth streets by this time next year

After the glitches the driverless bus trail has been suffering this should be interesting in cut throat city traffic.

Unfortunately now the RAC is a wealthy organization, desperately in search of relevance.
Such trials, just like their joke of a bus trial, are the very definition of pointless.

We already know what technology exists. The fact that you can make a driverless vehicle appear to function in a very limited and controlled environment, proves nothing.

So funny as what's not indicated in this article is they will have a "chaperone driver" on board to take control if R2D2 gets confused.

Thanks for that.

I didn't think anyone was at level 5 yet, which is required for full autonomy. For that matter I think only a couple are even thinking about a level 4 attempt.

We have brainless drivers here in NSW so driverless cars sound like a step in the right direction.

There will be some huge yearly tax to make up for that car never getting tickets. Driverless Car Administration Fee

It will give naughty kids something else to throw rocks at or hang onto with their push bikes. Trust me, I have seen it all in Sydney.
