Default Au Xr8 0-100 times and mods?

Just wanted to get an idea of the differences between the 3 different series engines, and how well they respond to mods... Are AU xr8s good to mod?

What sort of mods are you planning. The major differences between the 3 series are the heads, intake and tune. If you plan on replacing stock heads with aftermarket ones, and you plan on putting in a better cam etc, then it won't matter what you start with; all 3 would end up within a few kw of each other. If you just want bolt ons, like exhaust and, well, that's it really, then the 220 is probably the best starting point (obviously).
