Default Need Help Before Dark!!!

I just bought a replacement PCV valve since the plastic snapped on my previous one but I can't get the metal bit out of the rocket cover.

I've pulled and pushed with all my might and it won't budge.

I've even had to take the rocker cover off and still no luck.

I tried prying it but te screwdriver snapped, also the piping connector on the metal valve has all broken off in attempts trying to get it off.

How do I get it out???

Once it's out I can just replace it with the new one.

Are you sure it's the PCV? Can you throw a photo up of the bit you're trying to remove. It may just be the air breather at the back, which is a cast item and won't come off (well, not without a grinder).

lube it right up with whatever you've got. WD40, is a good idea. Then try with the extension and a hammer

Nah it aint the breather right at the back.

It's the PCV valve close to the oil cap.

The plastic right angle connector snapped and I'm trying to remove the metal bit

How did you snap a screw driver lol? What I did was take the rocker cover off, slide a medium flat blade screw driver under the lip of the grommet on the top of the rocker cover and then twisted the screw driver and that broke away the lip, then continue to work your way around the grommet doing this, until you can see the edge of the hole in the rocker cover all the way around. Then get a punch or something and whack what is remaining from the top and it will fall out.

yes, because its old it will be rock hard and that's why you cant remove the valve correctly. There're only a few bucks, its basically the only way if you cant get the other bit out.

Yay, I got mine from Coventry's automotive. They have more spare parts than ford these days, both genuine and after market.

Just had a look a this http://coventrys.com.au/coventry/htm...dbusiness.html
it seems there not in nsw or vic! So I guess try Ford, Repco do spare parts as well I think.
