Default Car dob in website

This website, www.ratetheplate.com.au, has been setup to allow people to complain about vehicles they see on the road.

The site is does not appear to be actively monitored by anyone, does not have any kind of fact checking involved and is all based on conjecture. The best bit is that the only identifying info required when you join the site is an email, which the site does not even verify!

It basically provides as much of a service to the community as Today Tonight does, but is even more open to abuse and defamatory baseless statements.

It redeeming feature is that it is a great challenge with work colleagues to come up with the most ridiculous entry on the system... I would like to widen the invitation to those who feel this site is pointless and defamatory to help fill it up with shyte. Its good for a laugh!

Cheers

I recall something along those lines. They are really useless sites that only serve to get people more annoyed, and seem to attract crazy folks who like to complain.

I thought my effort to have the most reported numberplate in Australia was great though... (for the record, F**KS**T was the most reported numberplate for most of the day today!! Woo hoo!)

Spewin, I didnt even get a mention. Do they really think people take note of every no. plate on there, and drive around with a record of these no. plates, just in case they actually see that car that forgot to indicate, so they feel as though they are safer on the road, as they know this guy forgot to indicate once? I mean, come on, people are on there for eating a banana FFS. Do they really think people would care if they found there number plates on there? I think not.

Just looked it up. What a classic. How did they get your numberplate, if it was facing the ground?

Does it make some people feel better? Does it matter? Once plates are on, do you get targeted by other 'Plate spotters'? Really, thats just hilarious......

A toyota econovan is just a van. Nothing special, really. Although the one my brother used to drive liked to go down the road sideways....... amybe it had something to do with him working for the post office at the time :SaiyanSmi

It's funny how many people don't have a clue though. The other day I over took a van doing 60 in an 80 on a single lane either way road with broken lines.

Some gramps who was over 200m away decided it would be fun to high beam me. Gave the old duck the finger. I did not break any road rules.

just had a look thru, what a bunch of sooks. Half those people who complain probably annoy people so much with their 'perfect' driving that others loose patience and so silly things
