Default New air filter assembly question

Hi All.

Just purchased & received a new air filter assembly online. There is one port on the underside of the assembly, 13mm outside diameter & about 10.3 internal diameter.
Can anyone tell me which hose should be connected here? Or should I just block it off?

Oops- on a 2L Mk 2, standard 32/36 DGAV. Just replacing the old blue assembly, with big black air funnel & vacuum pump. There's a hose running from that to the old air filter, as well as a hose from the oil filler cap, and another hose running away from the filter to the carby or inlet manifold. As I'm getting rid of the old assembly, I won't be running the hose that goes from the vacuum pump to the thermo switch.

My question is: should I keep the hose from the oil filler cap connected to the air filter? Or should I run the hose from the air filter to the inlet manifold? Or both? Or neither?

You don't need to keep the one from the oil filler cap connected although it is part of the emissions equipment so it would be "illegal" without it. Taking the hose off just lets gasses escape into the atmosphoere and will give you a dirty as engine bay.

Thanks for that. I was thinking about just plugging the cap with a bit of tapered Delron. Any advice on the hose going from the filter to the inlet manifold?

arrrrr i don't know. Mine was removed years ago before i owned it and my manuals at home. Give these guys a call.

All sorted- I think.

The hose from the old assembly will be chucked, as I won't be running that ridiculous black-armed vacuum pump anymore. The hose from the oil filler cap will be connected to the new assembly. The 3rd hose runs to the emission control spaghetti (not the inlet manifold- I kind of got lost), which I'll just block off.
