Dunno bout the box goin in, if its a normal conversion , someone will have a kit for it.......... As for your tailshaft, will just need a new front input shaft and maybe a shorten. shouldnt need a whole new one.

2 options.( that i know of?)
Dellows do a bell housing kit which involves running a toyota fricton plate with the standard escort flywheel and pressure plate. ($1000)
Or the kit i just bought is a castlemaine kit which involves stripping the whole gearbox down and replacing the input shaft. and then fitting a adapter plate to bolt the escort bellhousing to. (not sure on price but i paid $200 off ebay)
Or sell the celica 5spd and use money to buy buy a type 9 sierra 5spd
