Thumbs down I cannot believe it!

A lot of you probably already know this but the worst directing/writing duo of all time have made yet another spoof that is due for release this year. I had not read till today but Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer's new movie "Disaster Movie" is set for release in October here in Australia.

In case you didn't already know these are the guys that co-directed and wrote Date Movie, Epic Movie and Meet The Spartans.

How the hell do they keep going?

Given that you do not have to go and see it, and that, I imagine, you are not Financing their projects, why would you care??

I'm not suggesting in any form I have to see or finance their projects, I am simply asking how do they continue to get away with making such deliberately poor excuses for comedy? The majority of content in their movies isn't actually jokes or gags, it's just referencing something popular; most of the time not even mocking it.

I'm actually wanting a bit of discussion and see what other people think and have to say, you don't need to jump on me just for talking negative on a subject. That happens too much around here.

+1 for poor comedy. IMO these movies are rubbish.

These are nothing like the old naked gun movies, those movies stood alone and used slapstick and silly humour to entertain, and still kept a plot and decent characters.

I guess the production costs are low, and the income would be fairly predictable for this type of movie. It would be interesting to know who their target audience is

I agree. How these guys, who have no apparent talent at all, can keep making money by;
making it apparent they have no talent at all, is beyond me.

"Epics" like E.T and Jurassic Park were among the most boring movies I ever saw.

When we borrowed Jurassic Park on video, I was peeved because I couldn't use the Super Nintendo.

The film did well however. The story bored me to shreds, and still does.

Let people waste their money on crappo films. If they're stupid enough to blow their cash, then let them wallow in their filth.

Because those movies are aimed towards the general idiotic Americanised teenage audience.

And believe me, there's a good market in that sector.

I just have one question...
Where do they find the idiots that are prepared to part with money to make this sort of rubbish? The bloke that says, "Yeah, that's a good idea...I'm gonna throw money at that." I'm pretty sure I could interest them in a Harbour Bridge with a bonus Opera house.

Why would you feel sorry for her? She is getting paid and obviously she agrees to do it.

Be a bit embarrassing to have those movies on your CV though? Although you're right, if your getting paid the right amount...
