What aspect of the job are you doing? fixing board or stopping? and the most important part, are you any good at it? If you don't know what a normal hourly rate is for that work you must not be that good at it, otherwise you would know.
Are you employed or contractor? |

I'd expect maybe $100 a day, Donkeylover. That's the kind of cash I was getting when I was labouring.

probably about 25 hour, however most employed jobs are based on a salary, like 40 or 45 p.a gross.

The going rate for cash in hand is 150 a day (6 hours) but 18-28 a hour if you are on wages plus then you have to find out is there is a car or if you take your car do they pay fuel (20c per km ) plus all the other things that you should be getting

I am licenced carpenter and dry wall plasterer. The average going rate for a plasterer in the commercial sector is $35 ph some off us get more. Domestic plastering get $17-$25ph "suckers". But again, some get payed more,

The charge out rate is Approx $45 ph. However the builder will take into account (What he pays his labourers) and the whole cost of the job.
Simple equation: 2 x men x 8 per day = 16x$25 = $400 ( This is what the builder pays his troops.) However his charge out rate (Normal, he needs to recoup his overheads so he adds +15% to everthing!) So the builder will pay you approx $15ph, but will charge $45ph to the customer, to recover all overheads. 40x$15 = $600.00 p/w. Good luck. |

If you could clear $600 a week, that would be a start.
