Question Best Insulation to lay on floor pan????

Hi guys

Just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction as to what sort of insulation you should use on the floor plan when restoring a car. Obviously heat and soundproof required - but no idea on brand names etc.

Have seen some sort of silver foil wrapped insulation - but no idea what it is.

regards

KEV

the silver stuff is called Dynamat http://www.dynamat.com/ , or the australian equivelant. i have never used it but apparently it is really good kepps music sound in and road/engine noise out, but be warned it is pretty pricey. i am also looking for some sort of floor insulation for dads landcruiser as he wants to put carpet in it, so if i find a good place i will tell you about it as we are both in perth.

Try using felt or foam carpet underlay.
