Territory or Falcon wagon?

Gday

I am thinking of setting up a vehicle for light duty electrical service work. We have vans, ute with a service body & my ute but need a vehicle for a service tech to carry a little bit of gear & a small foldout style ladder.
I like both the Territory & the Falcon wagons so am weighing up the options.

Has anyone on here had any experience of using both vehicles?
Doesnt have to be for a work purpose, general day to day stuff.

I imagine fuel economy would be better in the wagons, especially on LPG but it will only do about 350ks a week so thats not a major concern. Height access with a small ladder rack on top is a factor. I notice Telstra kept on using the wagons so I presume they did so for a reason.

Any thoughts?

telstra would have stuck with wagons because there is factory gas availible...terry didn't have the gas from factory as far as i know

Falcon wagon would be perfect, a huge amount of cargo room, reliable and durable and LPG cheap as chips to run.

Falcon.
Terry has very little room in the rear.

Dont know if the same in Melb as it is in Sydney, but Wagon, you can park in loading zones in the city, Terry you cant.

The Falcon is ideal , smaller and better on fuel with possible factory gas with high comfort levels around town , I still use an ef (up for sale soon) as my tool box and it holds quite a lot

Have had 2 Falcon wagons now... an EL and now an AUII.

Heaps of room in the back.
With seats down its about 2.2meters?
I can put a skinny 3m, (like poly pipe, timber etc...) item from driver rear corner to the front pass corner with the passenger seat laid flat.

both the terry and the wagon will atrct fringe benifits tax while commercials ute van wont, but if u have to have one, terry has more ground clearance if its an issue but the wagon is cheaper, cheaper to run and has heaps more rear room, also easier to get ladder off roof.

Thanks Fellas. I also noticed the wagon is approx 350KG lighter. That's a lot of fuel, brakes, tyres.
We have used an EF wagon before as a service vehicle & the guy who had it as a work car bought it from us when we updated. He loves it.
Will go looking at wagons.

Territory isnt a wagon imo, its an SUV.

Falcon wagon all the way.

Exactly.
Still dont know why many believe the Terry is the replacement for the wagon.
Would like to see anyone get a pram in the back of a Terry along with a weeks shopping.

I only have a very old wagon, but nothing's changed, tough and very practical especially with roof racks and tow bar.

I know it's been said a million times but I think an FG wagon still could have been viable.. Territory is great, it replaces the wagon as a family car i guess.. but as for trade and other needs, a wagon is a wagon and the Terri is not.. the Commodore is still doing great with their wagon

Err yes you can. I do it all day everyday, well almost everyday lol.

According to the RTA Website, 4WD's cant park there, so you must be lucky!
