Hi all,
My AU 2 XR8 only has one key. How much should I expect to pay for a new key, programmed the right way (as an additional key to the car and delete the lost key), rather than just copying my current key? Can most locksmiths do it the 'non-copy old key' way? |

Its about $80-90 for a lock set on ebay,two keys,ignition barrel and door lock.
Not sure about coding costs but ill be doing this very soon to my au. Last time I did this to my ba(same as au keys) I got the bf key set,the square one. |

Genuine AU2 key is about $90 from Ford dealers in ebay; you have to get it cut by a professional locksmith. I can't remember their cost now.
Then another $55 to program it with the vehicle at Ford dealer. You can always try to save $55 by using Forscan but risk bricking the car and towing it to dealership.  Regards, George V |
