Lamborghini's 3rd model line was long rumoured to be a competitor to the Quattroporte and Panamera. The suggestion a Lambo SUV would compete with a Bentley SUV is absolute nonsense as well. Did the author not realise both Bentley and Lamborghini share common ownership? Volkswagen is going to approve 2 programs to compete with themselves?

While Bentley and Lamborghini share common ownership so do Porsche who build sports cars to compete with Lamborghini. Don't forget Porsche also build the Cayenne (from the Touareg platform) that competes with the Q7 also in the same family.

It all comes under the Volkswagen Group...im not exactly sure how ownership works, but VW its self owns at least half, and Porsche the second highest.
