My Ef was fitted with twister extractors, standard cat, 21/2' mandrel mild steel into a Walker Ultra Flow s/s muffler (straight through design) with NO RES.
No drone, at any rpm or under constant throttle on the hwy.
And it sounds a million bucks better than the standard system ... and resulted in an extra 20 rwkw !
Cost less extractors was in the order of $450 fitted (although that was five or six years ago), but for the price of the extractors (a couple of hundred bucks... you may as well get rid of the std manifold anyway.
You will be pleasantly surprised at just how restrictive the std system was, lets the 4 lt spin out with less of that strained, laboured nature at 4500 rpm up. Plus the mid range improvement is there ALL the time.
